Dr. Serrao earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree with honors from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Prior to completing her dental education in the United States, she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Universidade Santa Cecília in Brazil and completed a Research Fellowship at Peking University in China, providing her with a strong international foundation in dentistry.
During her time at Boston University, Dr. Serrao received a Certificate of Recognition in Special Care Dentistry for her compassionate treatment of geriatric patients and individuals with special healthcare needs. She is dedicated to creating a comfortable, welcoming environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and at ease.
Committed to serving both her local and global communities, Dr. Serrao has participated in mission trips to Eleuthera, Bahamas, providing treatment to underserved populations, and volunteers with the Special Olympics Special Smiles program, offering oral health screenings and education to athletes.
Dr. Serrao is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Hispanic Dental Association. Before becoming a dentist, she worked as both a dental assistant and office manager, giving her a unique understanding of every aspect of the patient experience and dental practice.
Dr. Serrao is passionate about helping patients overcome discomfort, restore their oral health, and regain confidence in their smiles. She believes every patient deserves compassionate, individualized treatment and strives to build lasting relationships based on trust, kindness, and clinical excellence.
Outside of the office, Dr. Serrao enjoys reading and playing tennis. She values spending time with family and friends and brings the same warmth and enthusiasm to her practice that she does to her life outside of dentistry.
